There are a few things that I wish for in this broken world. And most of them have to do with the fact that we seem to be running out of love somewhere along the way. I have this habit of loving hard and fast no matter what evidence is shown to me that I should stop. This has caused many a heartache, but I persist in the pursuit of loving. Continue reading
It’s been too long since I’ve sat at my computer and stared at the screen with an excitement with what I will type. There was a great deal of time that my thoughts, hopes, and dreams were tarnished by a broken heart I was desperately trying to fix. But there is a time to accept the past and move through the storm.
I found myself faced with a concept lately that is a bit scary for me and I will try my best to explain the twisty-turvy corners of my mind, but I feel as though there is a quote I should share that is an accurate summary of the thought.
Oh, and of course it’s Disney *Gasp*
Coming this November to a theatre near you! It’s the action-comedy that you’ve all been waiting for. Be ready to swoon, ladies…
Um, sorry I mean…
Let me start off with a few quotes from a movie that is dear to my heart “Tangled” and just perhaps you will relate to them like I do:
Rapunzel: [after leaving her tower; happily] I can’t believe I did this!
Rapunzel: [worried] I can’t believe I did this.
Rapunzel: [excitedly squealing] I CAN’T BELIEVE I DID THIS!
Rapunzel: [nervous laughter] … Mother would be so furious.
Rapunzel: [later, sitting on a rock holding some water lilies] Well, that’s okay! I mean, what she doesn’t know won’t kill her, right?
Rapunzel: [rocking back and forth in a cave] Oh, my gosh… This would kill her!
Rapunzel: [frolicking around] THIS IS SOOO FUUUUUN!
Rapunzel: [standing on a tree branch, head up against the bark] … I am a horrible daughter. I’m going back.
Rapunzel: [cartwheeling] I am NEVER going back! Woo-hoo!
Rapunzel: [face down in the grass] I am a despicable human being!
Rapunzel: [swinging around a tree] WOO-HOOO! BEST DAY EVER!
*Uncontrolable dancing ensues as the Star Wars Theme plays loudly in the background*
Many of you know the connection with this specific day of the year and the iconic movie franchise, others may just be getting annoyed with the constant Facebook posts and tweets from me over the years.
Oh well, I regret nothing!
Now it just so happens that this year the May of Fourth lands on a Thursday, and in my world that is “Blogday”. So sit back, relax, and enjoy why I think that “The Phantom Menace” is the best of the prequel movies!!
DUN DA DUN DUN DUN DA DA DUN DUN DUN DUN DA DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAAAA!
My life has been a series of ups and downs for a few years now, and I mostly try to focus on the positive but there are many days that I struggle with severe depression and anxiety. It’s these times that are the hardest for me to stay in touch with reality and keep focus on the goals and the responsibilities that I have.
Wow, my final Blog post of 2016. I apologize for it not being on it’s regular day, but it seems fitting that it is today that I write this.
With the title “May The Force Be With You” I have to address the sad death of Carrie Fisher, followed by her mothers death the very next day. There have been a number of celebrity deaths this year including Alan Rickman, Anton Yelchin, Prince, and so many more. Continue reading
